How to Knit Stitch (k) in Knitting

In this video I show you how to knit the individual knit stitch, known as 'k' in patterns. Remember to keep your yarn at the back when working this stitch. Edit* Repeating this individual stitch, row after row will NOT create the traditional V design in knitting, instead it will create a fabric called garter stitch (not shown). To create the fabric shown in the thumbnail do one row of knit stitches, followed by one row of purl stitches, then back to one row of knit stitches etc. This will create the traditional V fabric called stocking stitch. I am so excited to get started in teaching you how to knit, starting at the very basics and moving on to more advanced stitches and projects as time goes on. If you don't know me already, I am best known for my crochet tutorials and you can find my crochet channel here: http://www.youtube.com/happyberrycrochet
